Building A “New" Old Home
Authentic Reproduction Homes

Introduction

We have partnered with Connor Homes to offer something truly unique: authentic reproduction homes based on the history of early New England.

The appeal of early New England architecture has many home buyers searching to find a gracious old home with unmistakable character. Unfortunately the search too often ends with the realization that the home they seek is unattainable. One alternative is to recreate, in a new home, what is admired in the old.

But most re-creations fall short of the intended end result. For that reason we have teamed with Connor Homes to apply and utilize their knowledge of scale and porportion in New England reporduction homes to build "new" old homes for our clients.

These homes take the best from our past; in scale, porportion, beauty and form, and combine it with complimentary interior layouts to suit a modern family lifestyle.

home1 The Process: The exterior walls are built in sections (“panelized”) by Connor Homes in their plant in Middlebury Vermont and shipped to our home site. They also provide exterior trim details and windows based on actual historic homes that they have measured and copied. Your finished home will actually look and feel like it was built in another century, yet is filled with modern amenities to meet today’s lifestyles. The interiors can be finished with reproduction antique materials as well or with more modern materials or a combination of both – you decide.
